Of course, sports is not just about medals. The very fact that one has prepared, kept oneself fit and well, looked after the body and the mind, and competed with the best in the world, without fear or favour. That itself is the Medal. A medal that life gives everyone of us.
But a medal would be nice if one competes on the biggest stage for India.
A medal is also a reflection that a nation has the necessary processes, infrastructure, systems and talent in place to aim for the best, at the important stages on which sports is played.
